The North Central District Health Department in Connecticut is warning consumers not to eat at a local Ellington Connecticut donut shop called Gerry’s. They are also warning consumers not to eat any food purchased there.

The warning came after many people reported falling ill, at least one gravely, after eating at the shop.

Gerry’s is now closed indefinitely.

According to one report, a woman, her children, and her elderly mother all became ill after eating at Gerry’s on Mother’s Day Weekend. The older woman became so sick she had to be admitted to intensive care at an area hospital and struggled to survive the first night. According to her daughter, she is still not fully recovered.

John Houlihan, the Managing Partner at RisCassi & Davis, is now providing legal support to many individuals sickened by the food.

If you or someone you know became ill after eating at Gerry’s and would like legal help, please contact our office at 860-522-1196. We will do all we can to help.
