When you come into the office, you will meet with an attorney who will talk to you about what happened in your particular situation.
Your first meeting, whether it be in your home, in your hospital room or in our office, will be with a lawyer. From that point on, anytime and every time you want to speak with your lawyer, just call us.
At the end of any initial interview, what we like to tell the clients is: “at this point you only have two responsibilities. One is to let us know what’s going on related to the case and the second is to get better”.
You need to worry about yourself, your family, getting well, putting your life back in order. All of the details, we’ll take care of that for you. All that other stuff, dealing with insurance companies, dealing with the legal system, etc., that’s our job.
There will be lots of mundane matters, like getting property damage resolved, getting a rental car if you’ve been in a car accident, taking care of medical expenses and keeping track of them, let us take care of all that.
At RisCassi and Davis, a lawyer is assigned to a case and that lawyer has staff that works directly with him. We work as teams. We each work with a paralegal and a legal assistant.
By having a paralegal and a secretary always at the disposal of a client, there’s always someone to answer your question even if we’re in court.
Sometimes there are questions that are more appropriate for our paralegals and so you may be directed to him or her first. They are often the better source for getting questions answered about medical bills.
We also let every client know that before you hang up with the paralegal, if you want to speak with your lawyer, you ask for your lawyer and you will get your lawyer either right away or within twenty-four hours to answer any question that you have.
We encourage our clients to call us as often as possible. We never let a client be underprepared for anything. In the event of discovery or depositions, and with any interaction between us and the insurance company or the opponent, we have our client come in, we have a face to face preparation session and we don’t let them leave our office until they tell us they are comfortable and prepared.
